We are through 9 weeks of the 2018-19 NFL season, and former NC State ACC Player of the Year Philip Rivers is the #4 graded quarterback thus far according to ProFootballFocus, behind Drew Brees, Patrick Mahomes and Jared Goff.

4. Philip Rivers, QB, Los Angeles Chargers

2018 OVERALL GRADE: 90.9

Accuracy percentage: 60.9% (7th)

Clean-Pocket Grade: 89.8 (12th)

Rivers’ passer rating on throws of 10-plus air yards (139.0) ranks second among qualifying quarterbacks, his overall grade ranks fourth, and his accuracy percentage (60.9%) ranks seventh. Yet, he still isn’t getting the respect he deserves as a top-signal caller in this league and legitimate MVP candidate. (PFF)

Rivers is then followed by Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tom Brady, Kirk Cousins, Andy Dalton, Carson Wentz, Andrew Luck, Matt Ryan.

Former NC State quarterback Russell Wilson is the 13th best graded quarterback in the NFL through 9 weeks.

13. RUSSELL WILSON, QB, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

2018 OVERALL GRADE: 81.2

Accuracy percentage: 61.1% (6th)

Clean-Pocket Grade: 87.1 (13th) (PFF)
