2019 4-Star NC State Defensive Tackle commit CJ Clark’s (6’3″/308) senior season came to an end sooner than he would have wished, but what he was able to accomplish in 9 games was very impressive.

Clark tore his labrum, ending his season after 9 games. He will have surgery, and is expected to take 3-6 months to recover. Clark will be an early enrollee and  get to do his rehab in Raleigh beginning in January. (247)

In 9 games at North Stanly this year, Clark had 83 tackles and 6 sacks.

Clark committed to NC State on June 18th, and is the 2nd highest rated player in the Wolfpack’s 2019 recruiting class according to 247Sports, who ranks the class 25th nationally. Rivals ranks Clark as the #161 overall player in 2019, the #9 defensive tackle, and the #7 player in the state of North Carolina. He chose NC State over a Top-5 that included Georgia, South Carolina, UNC, and Tennessee. Clark also held offers from Alabama, Auburn, West Virginia, Penn State, Syracuse and others.

Here’s Clark’s official Senior Highlight Reel.
