Freshman Jericole Hellems had 13 points (2nd on the team) and 4 rebounds in NC State’s 95-49 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore today, helping the Wolfpack improve to 2-0. Hellems was 5 of 9 from the field, and 3 of 6 from deep.

• Coach Keatts expects us to work hard, and we run a lot in practice. We just run and play defense as hard as we can.
• Coach says if you play your hardest, you’re going to get a sub, and get right back in the game.
• Nobody really worries about playing time. They just work their tail off.
• It feels good to have contributed as much as I have. I’d like to do more, as much as I can to help the team. I feel great in the positions Coach Keatts puts me in. It’s a great opportunity.
