2020 3-Star Quarterback Ben Finley committed to NC State earlier today, to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Ryan. I reached out to Finley, and he gave quite a few reasons for deciding to run with the Wolfpack.

“It’s an amazing feeling. I told Ryan after the Louisville game and seeing how happy he was to the point where he almost cried made it special. I’m very familiar and comfortable with Raleigh and NC State and it is something that I want to experience as a collegiate athlete! I also think Coach Doeren and Coach Drinkwitz are great coaches and they played a very important role in my decision.”

“I talked with my parents and it just felt right. I knew that they have offered other talented quarterback’s and I didn’t want to wait too long and lose out on opportunity.”

“The thing about NC State is I know and respect many of the coaches and they are all great. That helped differentiate NC State. I even know several of the Graduate Assistants.”

“Ryan’s experience has been extremely positive at NC State, and he is super supportive of my decision. Ryan played a really big role.”

“Coach Doeren is a very knowledgable coach, and I respect him for the chances he gives everyone to compete. He has taken the time to get to know my family and that has meant a lot.”
