NC State Men’s Soccer Took Huge Steps Forward in 2018

The 2018 NC State Men’s Soccer season came to an end Sunday in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament, falling to #15 Maryland 2-0. It was truly a dominating performance by the Terrapins, piling 12 shots on the Wolfpack, compared to their 1.

Despite the loss, NC State continued to make huge steps in the right direction in 2018.

  • Finished with a 10-7-2 record, marking the first time the Wolfpack have won 10+ games since 2012.
  • Back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time since 1991-92.
  • Won first NCAA Tournament game since 1994, defeating Campbell 4-1.
  • Undefeated at home (8-0-3).
  • Sophomore David Loera was the 1st NC State player to earn 1st Team All-ACC honors since 2012. Sophomore Manny Perez earned 3rd Team All-ACC honors, after earning 2nd Team  honors last year.
