NC State Women’s Soccer Took Huge Steps Forward in 2018

The 2018 NC State Women’s Soccer team (11-7-4) closed out their season this past weekend, falling to UCLA (17-3-1) 5-0 in the Sweet 16.

While the Wolfpack would have loved to advance to the Elite Eight for the fist time since 1995, but nonetheless, NC State has much to be proud of in 2018.

  • 3 straight NCAA Tournament appearances for the 1st time since 1994-96 (13th appearance ever).
  • 2 Sweet 16 appearances in the past 3 years (5th time ever).
  • 3rd straight season with 10+ wins for the 1st time since 1994-96.
  • 5 wins/ties over teams ranked in the Top-20.
  • Finished regular season ranked 20th in the RPI.
  • Juniors Tziarra King and Ricci Walkling earned 2nd Team All-ACC honors. King earned 3rd team honors as a Freshman, and 1st Team honors last year. Walkling earned 2nd Team honors last year.
