NC State Wins 5+ ACC Wins in Back-To-Back Season for 1st Time Since ’91-92

NC State still has one regular season game left this Saturday against East Carolina, but after defeating UNC this past weekend in Chapel Hill, the Wolfpack’s 2018 ACC season is officially over, finishing with a 5-3 record.

For perspective, this is only the 4th time since the formation of the ACC in 1953 that NC State has had back-to-back seasons with 5 or more wins in conference play, and the last time it happened was in 1991-92.

2017: 6-2
2018: 5-3

1991: 5-2
1992: 6-2

1966: 5-2
1967: 5-1
1968: 6-1

1963: 6-1
1964: 5-2

Over the past two years, NC State is tied for the 2nd best record in ACC play.

NC State – 11-5

Virginia Tech – 10-6
Pitt – 9-7
Georgia Tech 9-7

Boston College – 8-8
Virginia- 7-9
