It’s a dumpster fire down in Greenville, North Carolina.

They already don’t have an athletic director. East Carolina’s Board of Trustees fired Athletic Director Jeff Compher back in March, buying out the remainder of his $1.26 million contract.

They are likely to be without their starting Freshman Quarterback Holton Ahlers on Saturday against NC State in their final regular season game in Raleigh. Ahlers has played in the last 10 games, and has started the last 5.

Sophomore Reid Herring started the first 6 games, but lost his job to Ahlers, but will likely be back in the saddle, after Ahler’s left last weeks Cincinnati game early with an ankle injury.

On top of that, news just broke that Pirate’s head coach Scottie Montgomery has been fired.

Defensive Coordinator David Blackwell will serve as the interim head coach against the Wolfpack on Saturday.
