Captain Braxton Beverly Is Beardless

The era of Bearded Captain Beverly is over.

When Sophomore Guard Braxton Beverly graced the Dail Center Basketball court back in September at Media Day, we were greeted by a bearded wonder.

His beard took on an identity of its own, leading to the creation of the fake Twitter account for Captain Braxton Beverly.

Needless to say, after the first loss of the season, and a 1-8 stretch from beyond the arch, according to Wolfpack head coach Kevin Keatts, the beard had to go.

In the video above from ABC 11’s Mark Armstrong, Beverly said that he might jump a little higher and run a little faster.

Head Coach Kevin Keatts said that the beard had to go, because Beverly looks better without it.

Beverly said he could always grow it back, and according to Captain Beverly, we should expect a return.

The war will be won.
