NC State is the Only Unranked 9-Win Power 5 School

The college football rankings came out yesterday after the end of the regular season, and NC State wasn’t in the Top-25 of any of them. They were left out of the College Football Playoff Top-25, and right outside at #27 in the Coaches Poll and #28 in the AP Poll.

That’s silly.

NC State is the only Power 5 school that finished the regular season with 9 wins, and only 3 losses, that was left out of the rankings.

#12 Penn State – 9-3

#16 West Virginia – 8-3

#15 Texas – 9-4
#17 Utah – 9-4
#18 Mississippi St – 8-4
#19 Texas A&M – 8-4
#23 Missouri – 8-4
#24 Iowa State – 8-4

Ranked Power 5 Schools with 5 Losses

#22 Northwestern – 8-5

The Wolfpack had a bad loss in the final minute to Wake Forest, and the other two losses were to ranked teams: 2) Clemson and #20 Syracuse.

You can give me all of your reasoning for why this is justified.

Plain and simple…call it what it is.
