4-Star OT Triston Miller Decommits From NC State

4-Star 2019 Offensive Tackle Triston Miller (Charlotte Country Day) announced via his Twitter account tonight that he has decided to decommit from NC State.

This comes in the wake of Wolfpack Offensive Line coach Dwayne Ledford jumping ship to go to Louisville.

247Sports has Miller ranked as the #1 Offensive Lineman in the state of North Carolina, the #8 player in the state, and the #209 overall player nationally.

This actually marks the 2nd time Miller has decommitted from a school. He originally committed to Wake Forest almost a year ago to the day (December 13th), but then decommitted on February 7th. Miller then committed to NC State on June 29th this Summer.

According to SBNRecruiting, Miller will visit USC and UNC (dang you Mack Brown), and wants to try to get to Louisville (dang you Ledford) and FSU. Somehow he plans on doing all of that in the next 11 days, because he plans to sign by the end of the early signing period, which ends December 21st.

Just a little nugget of advice. If you’ve already decommitted from two schools, don’t try to rush your decision between 4 more in an 11 day span. Just saying. You can still sign in February.

This is a big blow for the Wolfpack’s 2019 recruiting class that was ranked 22nd before his departure. Hopefully no more NC State O-Line commits follow Miller out the door with the exodus of Ledford.
