Former NC State quarterback Philip Rivers is arguably having the best season of his career at the age of 37, and with 2 games left, he has the third-best Vegas Odds to win the MVP award for the first time in his career.

After going 1-2 in the first three games of the season, Rivers has led Los Angeles (11-3) to victory in 10 of their last 11 games.

Rivers currently ranks 4th in the NFL in passing yards, and 3rd in passing touchdowns and QB Rating.

He is on pace to throw the most touchdowns of his career, accompanied by the best completion percentage and QB Rating.

The 7-time Pro Bowler is hoping to become the 2nd former NC State player to go on to earn NFL MVP honors. Ironically, the other Wolfpacker to do so won it in Los Angeles as well. Roman Gabriel was the NFL MVP in 1969 as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.
