Former NC State H-Back Jaylen Samuels siezed the opportunity set before him in his second career (and consecutive) NFL start, rushing for 142 yards in the Steelers 17-10 victory over the Patriots.

Samuels averaged 7.5 yards per carry on 19 carries. He also snagged 2 receptions for 30 yards, giving him 172 total yards of offense.

His 142 rushing yards marks the 3rd most rushing yards ever by a former NC State player as a running back in the NFL.

1) Ted Brown – 179 – 10/23/83
2) Roland Hooks – 155 – 11/6/77
3) Jaylen Samuels – 142 – 12/15/18

Samuels is only the 4th former NC State running back to rush for 100+ yards in an NFL game.

The last former NC State player to rush for 100+ yards in an NFL game as a running back was Andre Brown in 2013 (11/24/13 – 127 yards).

Do your thing Jay Sam. Let them sleep.
