Bradley Chubb was Snubbed by Pro Bowl Voters
Bradley Chubb was snubbed.
Maybe the Pro Bowl voters didn’t want to have two outside linebackers from the Denver Broncos representing the AFC, but that doesn’t make it right.
Chubb’s teammate Von Miller deserves to be the top vote getter at outside linebacker. He has 14.5 sacks, 45 tackles and 4 forced fumbles. He also has an interception.
With that being said, Chubb deserves the honor over Jadeveon Clowney (Texans) and Dee Ford (Chiefs), recording more tackles and sacks than both of them. Ford’s numbers are comparable, but Clowney was voted in for his namesake.
Bradley Chubb – 12 sacks, 51 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 13 tackles for loss
Dee Ford – 11.5 sacks, 45 tackles, 6 forced fumbles, 9 tackles for loss
Jadeveon Clowney – 8 sacks, 37 tackles, 0 forced fumbles, 14 tackles for loss
There’s still a chance for Chubb to earn an invitation to the Pro Bowl as a rookie, because he is the 2nd alternate according to Mike Klis, and could get the call if players selected before him are injured or deny their invitation.
OLB Von Miller (starter) RB Phillip Lindsay are Broncos Pro Bowlers. CB Chris Harris Jr. is 1st alternate; OLB Bradley Cubb is 2nd alternate; WR Emmanuel Sanders is 5th alternate. Miller’s 7th Pro Bowl in 8 yrs. Lindsay first ever undrafted offensive rookie Pro Bowler. #9sports
