Senior Torin Dorn led NC State in scoring (17) and rebounding (8) in tonight’s 97-64 victory over Loyola Maryland to close out the non-conference slate. The video of what he had to say to the media afterwards is ABOVE, and a bulleted breakdown is BELOW.

  • We need to cut down our turnovers heading into ACC play. We’ve been turning the ball over too much, and if we cut that down, I think we’ll be fine.
  • It’s bitter sweet to have played my last non-conference game. It’s a chapter that’s coming to a close. These games are fun too. I think every game is fun.
  • My final two schools were NC State and Miami (after transferring from UNC-Charlotte). I chose the school I would go to if basketball wasn’t an option. I think it worked out great for me.
  • ACC play is just super intense. Every game, every night, is a huge challenge. Every game is that Auburn atmosphere. You’ve got to be ready to play. If you come out slow, you might find yourself down twenty to nothing. We saw that against Notre Dame last year.
  • It’s definitely important to get off to a good start in ACC play.
