One of the questions of the John Wall Holiday Invitational was whether or not NC State head coach Kevin Keatts would offer 3-Star 2021 Point Guard Carter Whitt (6’3″/170) out of Leesville Road High School in Raleigh.

The answer to the question ended up being ‘yes.’

Whitt had taken an unofficial visit to NC State a year ago, and Keatts had been out to watch him, but the scholarship offer had stayed in the pocket.

At the John Wall Invitational, Whitt made the All-Tournament Team, after averaging 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5.7 assists.

247Sports ranks Whitt as the #57 overall player nationally in the 2021 class, the #5 point guard, and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

Whitt is averaging 19.6 points per game, 8.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game through the first 12 games of 2018-19.

Ole Miss was the 1st Power 5 school to offer Carter Whitt, followed by Virginia. NC State is the 2nd ACC school to offer Whitt.
