4-Star 2020 OT Mitchell Mayes Took an Unofficial Visit to NC State Yesterday

4-Star 2020 Offensive Tackle Mitchell Mayes (6’5″/295) took an unofficial visit to NC State yesterday.

Mayes plays at Sanderson High School in Raleigh, and is former teammates of NC State Defensive Tackle Alim McNeil and Running Back Trent Pennix.

247Sports ranks Mayes as the #24 overall player nationally in the 2020 recruiting class, the #3 Offensive Tackle, and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina.

Mayes holds offers from NC State, Clemson, Duke, Mississippi St., Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Florida State and Boston College.

NC State was the 1st of all these teams to offer (January 21st, 2018).

Mayes has been a frequent visitor at NC State, and the Wolfpack has been at the top of his list for some time now. He is a consensus Top-250 player in their backyard, which makes him a must get.

As a Junior, Mayes earned Under Armour All-American honors. His highlights from this past season are below.
