CB Vernon Grier Transferring From NC State

Redshirt Junior Cornerback Vernon Grier has decided to transfer after graduating from NC State for his final year of eligibility.

Grier came to Raleigh as a member of the 2015 recruiting class as a Wide Receiver. He was a 3-star prospect out of Mallard Creek High School (Charlotte, NC). ESPN ranked him as the #23 player in the state of North Carolina.

Eventually Grier was moved from Wide Receiver to Cornerback.

While at NC State, Grier saw action in 10 games over three seasons, with a majority of those snaps coming on special teams.

As a Graduate Transfer, Grier will be able to play immediately wherever he lands.
