4-Star 2020 WR Josh Downs Visiting NC State Again

4-Star 2020 Wide Receiver Josh Downs (5’10”/165) is taking an unofficial visit to NC State this weekend.

Downs is a Wolfpack legacy recruit, with his father Gary Downs playing running back at NC State in the early 90’s. He was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 1994 NFL Draft.

NC State was one of the schools listed in his Top-9 on December 16th along with Michigan, Ohio State, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, Oregon, Nebraska and Georgia Tech.

Downs took an unofficial visit to Raleigh for the Virginia game back in the Fall. (Exclusive interview on Visit).

He’s also flirted with the Twitter world often of the possibilities of teaming up with 4-Star NC State WR commit Porter Rooks.

Downs, who lives in Georgia, took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech on Tuesday night, taking in the basketball game.

Rivals ranks Downs as the #248 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class.

As a Junior at North Gwinnett (Suwanee, Georgia), he had 37 receptions for 624 yards and 9 touchdowns.
