Leslie Leads #7 NC State Past Wake Forest 59-50 Keeping Undefeated Record Intact

Redshirt Graduate Junior Kiara Leslie led #7 NC State to a 59-50 victory over in-state rival Wake Forest on the road last night, keeping the Wolfpack’s undefeated record intact (21-0).

Leslie finished with 23 points (8-16 FG) and 5 rebounds.

Junior Aislinn Konig was the only other NC State player in double figures, finishing with 10 points (4-8 FG/2-4 3PT).

Sophomore Kayla Jones led the Wolfpack with 8 rebounds.

NC State is now 8-0 to start ACC play, marking the best start since 1979-80.

The Wolfpack only trailed for 10 seconds in the contest.

If NC State can take care of business against UNC in Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday, it will tie the best start to conference play in school history (1977-78 & 1979-80). Tipoff is at 2pm and the game is SOLD OUT.
