3-star 2019 running back Jordan Houston (5’10”/190), a former Maryland commit, signed his letter of intent to play football at NC State this morning.

I think the Wolfpack got a steal in Houston.

Houston originally committed to Maryland on July 30th, over a Top-5 that included UNC, Michigan, Michigan State and Virginia Tech.

He received an offer from the Pack on January 23rd, and took an Official Visit to Raleigh the last weekend of the month. Houston decommitted from Maryland in January 28th, flipping his commitment to NC State on the same day.

He held offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Duke, Boston College, UNC, and others.

Houston rushed for 1,582 yards (12.4 yards per carry) and 20 touchdowns for Flint Hill High School (Oakton, VA) this past season.

Yes…12.4 yards per carry.

247Sports ranks Houston as the #6 all-purpose running back in the 2019 class.
