#9 NC State Continues Dominance Over Rival, Beating UNC 74-69 in Chapel Hill

The 9th ranked NC State Women’s basketball team (24-3/11-3) continued their dominace over their rival UNC yesterday, taking down the Tar Heels 74-69 in Chapel Hill.

The Wolfpack have won 5 of their last 6 games against UNC.

Graduate Kiara Leslie posted a double-double, with 21 points (team lead) 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Sophomore Kayla Jones chipped in 14 points off the bench in only 19 minutes (3-6 FG/2-2 3PT).

Freshman Elissa Cunane and Junior Aislinn Konig were also in double-figures, scoring 12 and 10 respectively.

The Wolfpack trailed by 2 points, before Cunane tied the game up with 1:28, then Leslie put the Pack ahead by 2 with 38 seconds left.

NC State will finish their regular season this week, with a brutal slate of #4 Louisville on the road on Thursday, and #14 Miami at home on Sunday.
