Charges Against NC State’s Eric Lockett Dismissed

According to Joe Giglio of the News & Observer, the charges against NC State Graduate Senior Guard Eric Lockett have been dismissed, as a result of video evidence supporting his case.

The dismissal of the charges does not equal the immediate return of Lockett to his basketball duties. The legal portion of Lockett’s troubles are behind him, but he now has to go through a student-conduct investigation by NC State to determine if he’s in fact eligible to return to the team.

Also, Lockett will have to take an anger-management class regardless.

Lockett came to NC State this offseason as a Graduate Transfer from Florida International. He has played in 22 games (starting 2) for the Wolfpack this year, averaging 5.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game.
