4-Star WR Gavin Blackwell Includes NC State in Top-6

4-Star 2021 Wide Receiver Gavin Blackwell (6’0″/170) revealed his Top-6 schools yesterday, and NC State was one of them alongside UNC, Duke, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech.

Blackwell had 51 receptions for 1,156 yards and 19 touchdowns for Sun Valley High School (Monroe, NC) last year as a Sophomore.

247Sports ranks him as the #37 overall player in the 2021 recruiting class, the #5 wide receiver, and the #3 player overall in the state of North Carolina.

It’s worth noting that Blackwell played with UNC commit Sam Howell at Sun Valley, who will be a Freshman in Chapel Hill next year.

NC State offered on October 25th. He was on campus in Raleigh at the end of January, and took this picture with 2020 Wolfpack commit 4-star Porter Rooks, and 2020 4-Star target Mushin Muhammad III.
