The 9th ranked NC State Women’s Basketball team defeated #22 Florida State 69-62 last night in the Quarterfinals of the 2019 ACC Tournament.

Despite trailing by 4 points at the end of the first quarter, after taking the lead in the 2nd quarter, the Wolfpack never looked back. NC State led for 33:12 of the game.

Freshman Elissa Cunane, who was named to the ACC All-Freshman team earlier this week, led the Wolfpack with 22 points (8-13 FG) and 9 rebounds. Cunane has scored 20+ points in 6 games this year.

Senior DD Rogers posted a double-double for the second straight game (5th of career), with 16 points (6-8 FG) and 10 rebounds.

Junior Aislinn Konig and Redshirt Graduate Senior Kiara Leslie both chipped in double-figures, scoring 12 and 10 respectively.

The Wolfpack shot the ball better than the Seminoles, and won the rebounding and turnover battles.

For the second straight year, the Wolfpack will face #3 Louisville in the Semifinals of the ACC Tournament. The Cardinals crushed the Wolfpack 92-62 in their 1 regular season matchup this year on February 28th. Tip-off is at 2:30pm.
