NC State has Reached out to Lehigh Grad Transfer Pat Andree

Three days ago news broke that NC State had reached out to Little Rock Graduate Transfer Rayjon Tucker. Yesterday afternoon news broke that the Wolfpack coaching staff has also reached out to Lehigh Graduate Transfer Pat Andree (6’8″/225).

Andree was a 3-Star prospect coming out of high school (Christian Brothers Academy), and the #10 player in the state of New Jersey according to ESPN.

He has been a starter at Lehigh for the past two seasons, averaging 12.9 points and 6.2 rebounds as a Junior last year, shooting 41.9% from beyond the arch.

The Wolfpack lacked depth in their frontcourt this season, with Wyatt Walker and DJ Funderburk being the only true ‘bigs’ on the team. Ian Steere transferred from the program after one game, and Manny Bates sat out all season as a redshirt recovering from shoulder surgery.

Without the transfer of Steere, the initial plan was to have 4 big fellas on the roster in 2019-20. The addition of a player like Andree would restore that initial vision.

NC State still has two scholarship spots left for next year.
