Former NC State All-American pitcher Carlos Rodon picked up his 1st win of the 2019 season on Wednesday in a duel with 2-time Cy Young winner Corey Kluber.

Rodon didn’t give up an earned run in 6 innings (1 unearned run), striking out 9, and walking only 1 (103 pitches). Fortunately, the White Sox put some runs behind his solid pitching this time, defeating the Indians 8-3.

The most batters Rodon struck out all of last year was 8.

Rodon is 1-1 with a 1.59 ERA, 15 strikeouts and 0.62 WHIP through two starts this season. His next start is on Monday, April 8th, against the Rays.
