NC State Ranks 14th in Directors’ Cup Standings (2nd Winter Update)

The 2018-19 Directors’ Cup Standing have been updated for the 2nd time during the Winter Season, and NC State ranks 14th. They are the 3rd highest ranked team in the ACC behind Virginia (6th) and Duke (8th).

The Wolfpack picked up points from both the Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving teams.

The Men’s team finished in 4th place with 80 points once again this year, but the Women’s team stepped it up a notch this year. Last year the ladies finished in 18th place with 56 points. This year they finished in 7th place with 72 points.

The Wrestling team took a slight step back this year, but still picked up points. Last year they finished in 4th place with 77.5 points. This year they finished in 17th place with 57 points.

This year, neither Men’s or Women’s Indoor Track & Field teams picked up any points. Last year, the Men’s team finished in 45th place with 26 points.

There are 3 more NC State Winter sports that need to wrap up before the Winter standings are finalized: Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball and Women’s Gymnastics.

The Wolfpack were ranked 5th in the Final Directors’ Cup Winter Standings last year, and finished the year 15th.
