3-Star Defensive Back Devan Boykin Commits to NC State

3-star 2020 Defensive Back Devan Boykin (5’11″/180) verbally committed to NC State tonight.

Rivals ranks Boykin as the #23 player in the state of North Carolina.

Boykin functions as a Swiss Army Knife for Ragsdale (Greensboro). He had 33 tackles and 1 interception, playing Safety and Cornerback. He also averaged 21.5 yards per punt return, taking three of them to the house. Boykin rushed the ball for 588 yards and 5 touchdowns. At Quarterback he threw for 671 yards and 7 touchdowns (2 interceptions).

Ultimately he chose to run with the Wolfpack over offers from East Carolina, App St, Air Force, Army, Charlotte, and Coastal Carolina. NC State offered on January 26th.

Boykin is the 7th member of NC State’s 2020 football recruiting class.
