NC State Hands out 2018-19 Wolfie Awards
If you’ve watched the epic show “The Office”, you are familiar with “The Dundies.”
If you’re an NC State fan you need to be familiar with “The Wolfies.”
The Wolfies are distributed annually at a banquet in Reynolds Coliseum to NC State’s greatest achievements in athletics that year.

Women’s Rookie of the Year – Elissa Cunane – Center – Women’s Basketball – All-ACC Freshman Team
Men’s Rookie of the Year – Patrick Bailey – Baseball – Catcher – ACC Freshman of the Year – 2nd Team All-ACC – Freshman All-American
Comeback Player of the Year – Sean Fauz – Wrestling – Battled injury this year, but qualified for NCAA’s for 4th straight year, and finished as a ACC Finalist for the 4th straight year.
Community Spirit Award – NC State Football Team
Heart of the Pack Award – Senior Gymnast Maggie Tamburro & Sophomore Goalkeeper Leon Krapf
Kay Yow Award – Senior Gabrielle Cunningham – Track and Field – Hurdles & Sprints – 2019 3x NCAA Indoor All-American & 3x All-ACC
Scholar Athletes of the Year – Senior Nell Crosby – Track & Field and Cross Country & Senior Swimmer Jacob Molacek
Women’s Individual Performance of the Year – Junior Anna Rogers – win in the team’s match against Miami
Men’s Individual Performance of the Year – Senior Andreas Vazaios – defending his national title in the 200 butterfly
Women’s Team Performance of the Year – Women’s Soccer Advancing to the Sweet 16
Men’s Team Performance of the Year – Men’s Soccer defeating #1 UNC
Head Coaches of the Year – Women’s Basketball – Wes Moore & Baseball – Elliott Avent
Women’s Team of the Year – Women’s Basketball – 2nd most wins in program history.
Men’s Team of the Year – Swimming & Diving – 5th straight ACC title & 2nd year in a row finishing 4th at NCAA’s
H.C. Kennett Award – Senior Pitcher Brian Brown & Senior Gymnast Maggie Tamburro
