NC State Head Coach Kevin Keatts was in to watch 4-Star 2021 Point Guard Carter Whitt (6’2″/160) earlier this week on Tuesday.

Rivals ranks Whitt as the #46 overall player nationally in the 2021 class, and 247Sports ranks him as the #38 player nationally, and the #2 player in the sate of North Carolina.

Whitt holds offers from NC State (December 31), Ole Miss and UVA, and has visited all three of them in recent months, as well as Maryland and Stanford.

Rivals’ Corey Evans caught up with Whitt recently, and he talked about NC State, and the possibility of reclassifying to 2020.

NC State: “It is cool getting that offer since it is the hometown school and it is like 20 minutes away, so I was just glad I got that offer. I have been to three or four games this past year. It is really cool and Coach (Kevin) Keatts came to a lot of my games since it is really easy being close to home.

“I could if I wanted to,” he said. “If I have the right situation, I think it wouldn’t be bad because I have been playing high school basketball since seventh or eighth grade so there is only so much you can do in high school.”

Whitt is a local talent in the Triangle, playing right down the street at Leesville Road High School in Raleigh.
