5-Star DE Desmond Evans Includes NC State in Top-10

5-star 2020 Defensive End Desmond Evans (6’6”/240) revealed his Top-10 school’s last night, and NC State made the cut along with UNC, South Carolina, Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Florida, Clemson, and Duke.

ESPN ranks Evans as the #3 overall player nationally in the 2020 class, and 247Sports ranks him 15th. He’s obviously the #1 player in the state of North Carolina.

UNC is in the drivers seat right now. They’ve had him on campus at least 4 times since March 3rd. NC State isn’t out of it, but they have some catching up to do. Don’t expect Evans to stray too far away from home.

Evans had 25 tackles for loss and 12 sacks for Lee County this year (Sanford, NC).
