Game 1 & 2 didn’t go as many expected in the Greenville Regional.

#2 seed NC State lost to Campbell 5-4, and #1 seed ECU lost to #4 seed Quinnipiac by the same score.

As a result, the two top seeds in the Regional will play each other today at Noon in an elimination game.

#15 NC State was supposed to host #9 ECU earlier this year in a midweek game, but it was cancelled due to rain.

The Wolfpack enter with a 42-18 record, and the Pirates enter with a 43-16 record.

NC State holds a 68-40 advantage in the all-time series, and has won 7 of the last 10 against their in-state rivals down east. The last time the two teams played was on April 26th, 2017, when the Wolfpack shutout the Pirates 6-0 in Greenville.

Jason Parker will get the start for NC State. He enters the elimination game with a 4-3 record, a 4.28 ERA, and 65 strikeouts in 73.2 innings. The Wolfpack is 9-6 in games that Parker starts.
