Rivals ranks Murphy as the #133 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class. 247Sports ranks him at #207 nationally, and as the #11 player in the state of Georgia.

Murphy also holds offers from Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Mississippi St., Nevada, South Florida, TCU, Texas A&M, Xavier and others.
