NC State Men’s Soccer Beats #6 UNC 2-1 in Exhibition

NC State Men’s Soccer team played their 1st of two exhibition games this past Sunday night, defeating #6 UNC 2-1 in Chapel Hill.

The match was nearly scoreless heading into the third period, but the Pack scored twice in the final 8 minutes of the second period.

Junior David Norris scored off a corner kick in the 52nd minute, and Junior David Loera scored off a penalty kick two minutes later. Loera was an All-ACC selection as a Sophomore.

The Tar Heels only goal came on a penalty kick with 4 minutes to go in the contest.

The Wolfpack will play VCU in their final exhibition game this upcoming Saturday, and their season opener will be on August 30th against Loyola in Raleigh.
