Former 1st Team All-ACC NC State Wide Receiver Jakobi Meyers wasn’t drafted back in April, but the joke is on 31 of those teams.

Meyers has officially made the 53-man roster of the New England Patriots after signing as an undrafted free agent back in April.

Meyers finished the 2019 NFL Preseason with the most receiving yards (253) and receptions (20).

He finished the preseason with the 4th best grade according to ProFootballFocus out of 53 receivers.

Jakobi Meyers is no longer fighting to make the team, he’s fighting for a spot in the starting lineup. He ranks as our fourth-highest graded wide receiver (of 53) this preseason and leads all wide receivers in catches (19), yards (225), and touchdowns. (PFF)

The Patriots waived Braxton Berrios to make room for Meyers.

Meyers broke NC State’s single season record for receptions (92) last year, and ranks 5th all-time in career receptions (166) and 8th in receiving yards (1,932).
