NC State’s Chris Dunn Boasts the Longest Consecutive FG Streak in the Nation

NC State Sophomore Place Kicker Chris Dunn has now made 19 consecutive field goals, connecting on 2 (32 & 25) this past Saturday in the Wolfpack’s 41-0 victory over Western Carolina in Week 2.

The streak of 19 consecutive field goals made is the longest active streak in the nation, the longest in the FBS since 2016, and the 2nd longest in school history. Marc Primanti, who won the Groza Award in 1996, holds the record at NC State with 27 consecutive field goals made. Primanti was 20 for 20 in ’96 when he won the Groza as the nations best place kicker.

Dunn led the ACC in field goal percentage as a Freshman (88.5%), and earned 2nd Team All-ACC honors.

Before he ever kicked a ball at NC State, he boldly said that his goal was to have his number retired, and hung up in Carter-Finley Stadium.

Keep making your case Mr. Dunn.
