Tomorrow’s matchup between NC State and West Virginia will mark the 11th time that the two teams have played one another, and the series is dead even, with each team having won 5 games each.

The series began all the way back in 1914. The two teams played twice in the teens of the 20th century, twice in the 50’s, 3 times in the 70’s, and once this millennium. The Wolfpack have won the the past three games, and will look to make it 4 in a row tomorrow in Mortantown.

The Wolfpack and the Mountaineers have played each other 3 times in Bowl Games, which makes each teams the other teams most frequent Bowl opponent.

The last time NC State played in Morgantown was 1979, but the Wolfpack did pick up a win in the state of West Virginia last year, defeating Marshall 37-20.

A victory tomorrow would be the first time NC State has defeated a Power 5 Non-Conference opponent on the road since 2002 (Texas Tech).
