4-Star WR Nate McCollum Decommits from NC State

This has been a concern of NC State Football fans for quite awhile now, but 4-Star 2020 Wide Receiver Nate McCollum has decommitted from NC State.

McCollum committed to NC State back on March 31st.

He is from the Peach State, and Georgia Tech have been putting on the pressure. McCollum was at their game against USF a few weeks back. Shortly after he committed, he picked up an offer from Michigan that raised some eyebrows.

In all reality, McCollum might realize that he could stay home, and have more immediate playing time with the Yellow Jackets.

247Sports ranks McCollum as the #297 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class.

McCollum has a scholarship to play football and baseball at NC State.

Sounds like maybe he has seen Matt McKay’s pitiful passing performance with no apparent interest from coaches in giving another QB a chance to see what they can do during actual game conditions. I don’t blame him.
