Pack in the Pros

Trea Turner’s HR Helps Propel Nats to NLDS

Last night former NC State All-American Trea Turner and the Nationals defeated the Brewers 4-3 in dramatic fashion in the Wild Card game to advance to the NLDS.

Milwaukee held a 3-0 lead as Washington entered the bottom of the 3rd inning, when Turner slugged a ball over the left field wall.

Juan Soto went on to knock in two runs in the bottom of the 8th, propelling the Nats to Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series against the Dodgers in L.A. tomorrow night.

Turner celebrated the victory in NC State fashion by wearing an NC State football helmet in the locker room after the game. Unfortunately, the article on Nationals.com thought he was wearing an “old-school Stanford helmet.”

Turner continued to represent the Pack in the postgame press conference, this time wearing an NC State Water Polo helmet, accompanied by ski goggles.

I freaking love Trea Turner.
