Turner and Knizner Advance to NLCS

Two former NC State baseball players have advanced to the National League Championship Series, and will face each other at 8:08pm on TBS.

Catcher Andrew Knizner didn’t see any action for the Cardinals in the NLDS in his first trip to the playoffs.

Shortstop Trea Turner was a key component in the Nationals advancing past the Dodgers in the NLDS, scoring 3 runs, with 6 hits and 3 doubles, hitting .286 in 5 games.

Turner loves to rock vintage NC State gear after major victories this postseason, rocking a Wolfpack rugby cap, and Red Football helmet after Washington’s Game 5 victory in the 10th inning over Los Angeles.

This is the first trip to the NLCS for the Nationals since moving to Washington.

Turner has the most hits in the postseason by a former NC State player.
