Trea Turner Has 2 Hits in Nationals’ Game 2 Victory in NLCS

Former All-American Shortstop Treat Turner had 2 hits in the Nationals’ 3-1 victory over the Cardinals in Game 2 of the NLCS, gaining a 2-0 lead in the series.

Turner was one of only two players on Washington to have 2 or more hits, going 2 of 4, with 2 singles and a run.

Through two games in the NLCS, Turner is batting .333. Through 8 games this postseason, he is batting .278, with 10 hits, 3 doubles, 5 runs, 1 home run, 1 RBI and 2 walks.

Former Wolfpack Catcher Andrew Knizner, who is on the Cardinals’ roster this postseason, still has yet to see the field.

Game 3 of the National League Championship Series is tomorrow night at 7:38pm on TBS, with Stephen Strasburg pitching for the Nats, and Jack Flaherty slinging it for the Cards.
