Trea Turner’s 2 RBIs Help Send Nationals to 1st World Series

Former NC State All-American Shortstop Trea Turner’s 2 RBIs helped people Washington into the World Series last night, with the Nationals beating the Cardinals 7-4 in Game 4 of the NLCS, completing the sweep.

This marks the 1st World Series appearance in Nationals history.

Turner was 2-4 with 2 RBIs, and 1 run in the clinching game. In the NLCS, Turner’s batting average was .294, with 5 hits in 4 games.

Through 10 games this postseason, Turner is hitting .286, with a team-high 12 hits. He also has 6 runs, 3 2B’s, 1 HR, 3 RBI, and 3 BB.

After last night, Turner has played in 20 career postseason games, which means he has officially past Adam Everett for the most games played in the postseason by a former Wolfpacker.

Of course Turner was once again wearing an NC State rugby scrum cap for the postgame celebration.
