NC State 2020 Football Commits Week 8 Report

Here’s a rundown on how the 2020 NC State verbal commitments did in Week 8.

3-Star Defensive Tackle Davin Vann had 8 tackles, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble in Cary’s 41-21 loss to Panther Creek.

3-Star Cornerback Aydan White had 1 tackle, 2 receptions for 5 yards, and a 93-yard punt return for a touchdown in Christ School’s 28-27 loss to Charlotte Christian.

3-Star Defensive Tackle Jaylen Smith had 6 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble in Hertford County’s 33-21 victory over Northeastern.

3-Star Quarterback Ben Finley had a short outing last week, after he attempted to rush for a touchdown, and dove headfirst, and was flipped in midair, taking a nasty fall.

He didn’t return for the rest of the game, finishing 3 of 7 for 62 yards in Paradise Valley’s 42-0 loss to Cactus Shadows.

3-Star Offensive Guard Jonathan Adorno and his Rolesville squad beat Wakefield 49-19.

3-Star Linebacker Devon Betty had 6 tackles in St. Thomas Aquinas’ 35-0 victory over Plantation.

3-Star Offensive Guard Sean Hill and Brookwood beat Meadowcreek 47-19.

3-Star Wide Receiver Stephen Gosnell had 3 receptions for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns in East Surry’s 70-13 victory over Bishop McGuinness. He also had 1 kickoff return for 61 yards.

3-Star Tight End Ezemdi Udoh had 2 receptions for 15 yards, and 3 tackles in Terry Sanford’s 36-23 victory over Gray’s Creek.

3-Star Defensive Tackle Pheldarius Payne had 3 tackles and 2 sacks in Lackawanna’s 30-17 victory over Monroe College.
