Former NC State Guard C.J. Williams has been waived by the Nets. He only played 2.2 minutes in 1 game for Brooklyn this preseason.

Williams’ contract with Brooklyn was non-guaranteed. Despite being waived, the Nets could be interested in making C.J. a member of the Long Island Nets, their G-League affiliate, but if they were to do so, they would have to acquire his G-League rights from the Iowa Wolves.

After 4 years overseas, and 1 year strictly in the G-League, Williams served as an NBA 2-Way player the past two seasons with the Clippers and the Timberwolves.

Williams played for NC State from 2008-12, averaging 10.6 points per game his Senior year.
