WR Stephen Gosnell Flips Commitment from NC State to UNC

Ever since 3-Star 2020 Wide Receiver Stephen Gosnell picked up an offer from UNC a few weeks  back, there has been a fear he would flip his commitment from the Wolfpack to the Tar Heels.

Those fears have been realized.

Gosnell’s quarterback at East Surry Jefferson Boaz committed to UNC back in the summer. On October 17th, fellow East Surry Wide Receiver Landon Stevens committed to UNC as a preferred walk-on on October 17th. Growing up a Tar Heel fan, holding onto Gosnell was going to be a challenge.

ESPN ranks Gosnell as the #27 overall player in the state of North Carolina in 2020.

NC State is now down to 2 Wide Receivers in their 2020 recruiting class:

4-Star Porter Rooks
3-Star Josh Crabtree

Gosnell is now the 2nd receiver to flip their commitment this year, with 4-Star Nate McCollum flipping to Georgia Tech.
