NC State LB Payton Wilson Named to FWAA Midseason Freshman All-American Watch List

Redshirt Freshman NC State Linebacker Payton Wilson was named to the FWAA’s Midseason Freshman All-American Watch List yesterday.

Wilson’s 36 tackles rank 3rd on the team, despite the fact that he hasn’t started a single game. He also has 3.5 tackles for loss and 2 pass breakups.

This preseason, the FWAA already thought highly of Wilson, naming him to their Preseason Freshman All-American Watch List along with 73 others, including fellow Wolfpacker’s Running Back Zonovan Knight and Defensive End Savion Jackson.

Wilson has played behind Redshirt Junior Brock Miller at “BUCK” Linebacker all season, but has 13 more tackles.
