The NC State Men’s Basketball program just announced that Junior Point Guard Blake Harris is no longer a part of the program.

“Junior guard Blake Harris is no longer with the NC State men’s basketball program for personal reasons.”

Harris has a pattern of being wishy washy. He nearly played for a different high school every year. He originally committed to play for Washington in July of 2016, and signed a letter of intent with them in November. Harris eventually broke that commitment, and signed with Missouri in the Spring of 2017. He went on to play 14 games for Tigers, before transferring to NC State. The NCAA granted Harris the ability to play immediately in 2018, instead of having to sit out 14 games.

Last season, Harris averaged 3.1 points in an average of 9.5 minutes per game (30 games).

ESPN ranked Harris as the #99 overall player nationally in the 2017 recruiting class, and the #3 player in the state of North Carolina (Word of God Academy, Raleigh).

NC State now has 2 scholarships available in 2020 as a result of the departure of Harris. He will have two more years of college eligibility wherever he lands.
