NC State Football Looking for 1st Road win of 2019

The NC State football is hoping to win their 1st road game of the 2019 season tomorrow against Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.

Winning on the road is never easy.

Since 2016, the Wolfpack are 19-5 at home, and 8-10 on the road. That’s not that abnormal. Having around a .500 record on the road isn’t wildly unexpected, but the Wolfpack have typically been on the positive side of that line under Doeren.

Not winning a whole entire game on the road all year would be unthinkable though.

The last time that NC State went winless on the road was in 2014, which was Dave Doeren’s 1st season. The Wolfpack are guaranteed to have a losing season on the road, marking only the 3rd time in his tenure.

NC State’s record on the road under Doeren

2019: 0-3
2018: 3-2
2017: 3-2
2016: 2-3
2015: 4-2
2014: 3-2
2013: 0-4

Picking up their first road win won’t be an easy task in Winston-Salem, where they have lost 7 of the last 8, and the Demon Deacons are ranked 23rd in the AP Poll this week.
