On Thursday night, the NC State Women’s Soccer team (9-5-4) defeated #14 Louisville (12-3-2) 1-0 in Raleigh to close out the regular season with ice in their veins.

Sophomore Anna Toohey picked a good time to score her first goal of the season, which came on an assist from superstar Senior Tziarra King.

The shutout was the 6th of the year for the Wolfpack.

The victory clinched an ACC Tournament birth for NC State, marking the 3rd time in 4 years.

Ironically, the Wolfpack will face the Cardinals once again, but this time it will be on the road tomorrow at 3pm.

The victory was likely enough to propel the Wolfpack ladies to the NCAA Tournament for the 4th straight year.

Prior to the victory over Louisville, the Wolfpack ranked 31st in the RPI. They have 5 wins/ties vs. ranked teams this year, and their 2 conference losses are the fewest since expansion in 2004.
